    I love it here. I highly recommend the Maples of Cullowhee. This is the one place around campus that that gives the best bang for your buck. The only downside of Maples is the lack of amenities comparatively to other locations close to campus.

    As a transfer student at WCU it was hard trying to find a place to live. Apartments near campus are about $600 a room for a four bedroom apartment. When I found The Maples I knew I found a great place to live. The price was extremely cheap compared to their competitors. Since August 2015 it has been a very friendly and welcoming atmosphere. I know the property manager on a first name basis (Kim). I used to live in a big apartment complex and know none of the people working there and on top of that when something did go wrong it would take an average of 7 days before the problem was fixed. Here I just have to submit a request and in less than 24 hours it's taken care of. That's a crazy amount of service that is provided here by Mauricio. He takes pride in all of his work. I couldn't imagine a better apartment to live in.

    The financial aid office needs to better allocate their employees. There was only one advisor the whole time while there were multiple people waiting. I was the second person there and I signed in, but they kept skipping me and called other students. I sat for an hour without any help.

    Great. The reasons for 4 stars is for the difficulty in finding parking- especially after paying a few hundred dollars for a parking fee. Other than that, the professors are fantastic and the university is beautiful.
